Hello to all our blog fans,

Hooray!! We’re officially one week old!  We’ve had an awesome launch of the website, and wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. Now let’s get to the good stuff, our first featured non-profit, Girls on the Run. During the past week we have had three great deals where 10-20% of the proceeds were donated to GOTR. They’ll be receiving 10-20% of all deal sales up until July 31st! So you hurry up and buy one up! Our previous deals included promotions to try rock climbing outside at Mission Trials,  take a photography walking tour in Balboa Park or at the beach, and work your core at Pilates classes. Stay tuned for what will be next so you can give GOTR something to cheer about!

Let us tell you some more about GOTR. Girls on the Run is a program for young women, directed towards girls in grades three through eight. Their main goal is to motivate, educate, and empower young girls to live to the fullest potential, gain and maintain self-respect, and keep a healthy and happy lifestyle. They focus on lessons regarding the healthy development of  girls physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Their curriculum involves a 12 week physical activity based program that incorporates core value lessons. At the end of the session, they are encouraged to participate in a non-competitive 5K to show off all their hard work!

This program is a wonderful way to boost young girls self-esteem and engage them in a healthy lifestyle. We are so excited to be working with such a great non-profit! There are tons of ways to get involved with GOTR. One rewarding volunteer opportunity is becoming a coach for the girls. Email info@gotrsd.org or call 619-813-9020 for more information. Don’t forget to check out their website at: www.gotrsd.org
